■Corporate History

March 16, 1988		Tom Yoda founded Thomas Yoda Limited (Current T. Y. Limited, Inc.), a consulting firm which mainly specialized in overseas business.
August 1988		Yoda became Advisor to Avex D.D. Inc. (Current Avex Inc.), which was founded in April 1988. He initially involved in Avex’s CD import business, but his coverage was expanded to overall business management. Yoda became Board of Director in February 1990, and has been the largest shareholder and Chairman & CEO of Avex until August 2004.
April 2001		Renamed to “T. Y. Limited, Inc”
January 2005		Headquarters relocated to TY Building in Minami Aoyama 2-Chome
March 16, 2008		20th Anniversary of foundation
March 30, 2008		Relocated to new premise in Minami Aoyama 1-Chome
August 2008		T.Y. Limited acquired all shares in Index Music, which was renamed T. Y. Entertainment.
July 2009		T.Y. Limited acquired majority (55%) of shares in GAGA Communications, which was renamed GAGA Corporation as of September 1, 2009.
April 2010		Relocated to TY Building in Minami Aoyama 2-Chome
November 14, 2014		T.Y. Limited maintained a 55% shareholding in GAGA Corporation, while Tom Yoda individually acquired the remaining 45%.
July 29, 2016		Gaga conducted a third-party allocation of shares with Huis Ten Bosch Co., Ltd. and Creek and River Co., Ltd. as underwriters. The shareholding ratio changed to 27.05% for T.Y. Limited and 21.95% for Tom Yoda.
March 2017		The majority of Dreamusic’s shares, previously owned by T.Y. Limited and Tom Yoda, were transferred to Faith Co., Ltd. Yoda was appointed as Director/Supreme Advisor of Dreamusic Inc.
March 16, 2018		Celebrated the 30th anniversary of the company's founding.
July 2020		Invested in the newly established anime studio, Production +h.
November 13, 2023		T.Y. Limited Acquired a total of 51% of GAGA's shares from H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (formerly owned by Huis Ten Bosch) and Creek & River Co., Ltd., bringing its shareholding ratio to 78.05%.
November 30, 2023		T.Y. Limited transferred all owning shares (78.05%) of GAGA to GENDA, Inc.
